I recently visited Ichiban Buffet in Hiram, GA, for dine-in on November 22, 2025. Upon arrival, I found parking to be quite easy, and I was immediately greeted and taken to my table as soon as I walked in. The dining area featured a dark Asian-themed ambiance typical of a buffet-style setup, and I found both the tables and booths to be clean and comfortable. My server was friendly and attentive throughout my meal, ensuring my large sweet tea was constantly refilled. However, the overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired, starting right at the entrance where a puddle of water stood in the entryway near the fish tank with no "Wet Floor" signs posted. The fish tank itself was clearly in need of a thorough cleaning, which immediately led me to wonder about the cleanliness in areas customers
3 out of 5 stars The food here isn’t bad, but it definitely leans on the cheap side—both in price and feel. If you're expecting variety, this might not be the place for you. The selection is very limited, so don't go in hoping for a broad spread of options. For about $15 per person (including drinks), the pricing is fair for what you get. During our visit, the hibachi section wasn’t even open, and overall, the food options were pretty sparse. What was available tasted good, just nothing particularly exciting or memorable. The atmosphere could use some improvement. While we were dining, it felt like a cold draft was coming in, almost like someone left the back door open. Not exactly cozy. On the positive side, our server was excellent—very attentive. Our drinks were always full and our
So so. 2 and a half stars, which rounds up to three. Short version: not really recommended, though you could do worse. Definitely a "quantity-not-quality" kind of place. When you walk in, you pass a bunch of gumball-style dispensers and a not-so-clean, overcrowded fish tank. The windows aren't very clean, but neither is most anything inside. It's one of those places where about every third light bulb is out, there are boxes stacked up against the walls, the hostess has her own meal she's eating while she does other things, etc. The food is okay. Not terrible, but not great. Very standard Chinese buffet items: General Tso's chicken, egg drop soup, black pepper chicken (the black pepper chicken was actually quite good), lo me in, etc. Some of it may have been out for quite some time, dep
Ichiban Buffet in Hiram offers a delightful dining experience with a wide range of delicious options. The highlight for me was their hibachi station, where the chefs skillfully prepared fresh and flavorful dishes right in front of you. The sushi station was good, and the rest of the food was coming out hot and fresh.
I read all the negative reviews before coming here but still insisted on trying this establishment and gave it a try. For the lunch price, not bad. Although just one buffet steamer that goes around half of the restaurant. This buffet restaurant is small compared to the ones I have been to. They do not have a large amount of food. Just decent. From Chinese food, some American, sushi, hibachi, desserts, fruits and ice cream! Food was fresh when I went in around 12:00pm. The atmosphere and furnitures are a little outdated but restrooms in women’s are clean in appearances. The weird thing was where you grab the plates. I feel it is placed in the wrong area. Plates need to be placed on the counter. I will come back and try their weekend menu.
