Iberia Parish Library: Main Branch

This is my favorite location to visit. I visit at least once a week. The staff is awesome and very nice. Every time I visit, I'm always greeted. If you're looking for something to do for yourself or with the family, there are all sorts of things to do throughout the year. There's a few different book clubs, crafts, movie showings, and even story times. Plus the activities are spread out through out the multiple libraries in the area.

Great experience, Staff Worker Emma was helpful in the children section. 1st grade student, Great grand daughter needed (10) Children Books to read for Pesson Elem. Literacy for Month Nov. 2022. Keep up Great Work Emma.

This is the first time I've been to this library and have not been satisfied with the service. Granted, I don't require much assistance or interaction when I do visit (perhaps that's why), but today I went in and out of 5 people working the front area, 1 was in the little office, 2 were chatting amongst themselves, 2 at the immediate front desk, one of which was on the phone, the other had books in front of her doing work with them. NO ONE GREETED ME or offered assistance as I stood there waiting.... and waiting... until finally the one on the phone got off of her call then the other, again who was directly in front of me, decided to acknowledge me. The two holding conversation DID NOT BUDGE NOR DID THEY OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE.

Very Nice Place ...filled with Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom ....Main Street Location......also newspapers and mags.also nestled in a beautiful setting of live oaks on main street atomasphere librarians also very nice and helpful.

Essentially just leaving this review to counter "squirr3l d0g's" absurd, racist post below (though you can tell by the handle that he's not much of an intellectual, I guess). To say that "White people's minds are in chains" because blatantly racist, Neo-Nazi literature is not on the shelves of a library is the most ridiculous statement I've ever read. African Americans were literally suppressed from being literate BY white people for hundreds of years, and YOU have the nerve to say YOUR mind is "in chains" because you can't find anti-minority propaganda at a public library? Some types of hatred and stupidity can't even be cured by literacy, I suppose. This library is a lovely and important resource for the WHOLE community, not just white people.
