Amazing staff and 50s vibe, but needs a deep clean I really wanted to love this spot because the 50s concept is so cool and the ladies at the front were super awesome and welcoming. The fried pickles were easily top-tier—best thing we had. However, the cleanliness was a major concern. The floors didn't look like they’d been mopped recently, and the exposed part of the kitchen (especially under the soda machines and cooking equipment) looked pretty bad. It definitely gave me the "heebie-jeebies" wondering what the areas we can’t see look like. As for the food, the fries were okay, but the chicken sandwich was disappointing, and my husband couldn't finish his burger after the first bite because the taste was off. I’d love to come back and give this place another chance because the service i
Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes and Fries good eats and great service. My go-to the build your own burger combo ($11) with pepper jack cheese, ketchup, mayo, chili, mushrooms, tomato, and lettuce with fries on the side. And the toppings is why I like Hwy 55 (or Andy's as I call it (the original chain name)). Fyi, the tater tots are good as well, but they can have an onion taste likely because they are cooked in the same oil that cooks the onion rings. I do miss when staff used to open the door for ya when u arrived. Feel free to bring that back ;)
The waitress was very friendly and food came quickly. Prices were very reasonable. Was $22 for two people to eat well. They seem to have high quality ingredients. Fried chicken on the salad was amazing and the burger tasted like it was made there and not in a factory. Highly recommend.
Updating my review based on my last 3 orders since my very first review. I spent almost $40 on 2 Meals. I ordered a Carolina burger, large chili cheese fries a large half n half and a Cheese steak large meal. I was expecting for my chili cheese fries to at least be covered or even half way covered. Instead they gave me a pinch of cheese and chili on a large fry. My burger didn’t have everything I requested either.
Loved our server!!! Loved how cute the place was. I loved how sweet everyone was. The food was good, the service was great!!! Super cute restaurant.
