Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

This place needs new management or they may need to go on a shopping spree & hire a handy man. The food we ordered was ok. Hope the hamburger bun was toasted cause it was a little tuff. The ketchup we tried to use was spoiled. The fries didn’t even come hot & the burger didn’t come as we ordered it. Ask for slaw may have been a tsp of slaw on it. We asked for barbecue or honey mustard sauce didn’t have either one. We asked for a drink tray for drinks to go. No drink trays. Had to get up & get refills & extra ranch sauce(they did have)& anything else we needed. In the women’s bathroom, no toilet paper & was told if you want to lock the stall you had to stick the handle in the slot to make it work. Spent about $55 this visit. Probably won’t be back.

Check your order when you order take out. Many times our order has been wrong when I get it home. Inside the resturant needs a deep cleaning. When I went in to pick up our order, The floors, walls and ceiling are very nasty. They need to close for a week and deep clean. The ceiling maybe mold. It is black around vents in the ceiling. The employees are nice but the resturant needs some TLC.

We ordered a chicken cheese steak no peppers, lite onions with provolone cheese meal and a steak cheesesteak meal. Both cheese steaks came out with the regular yellow looking cheese. The chicken cheese steak looked like and tasted like it had all the black nasty trash off the dirty grill! Waitress asked was everything ok. I said no this is not the cheese I ordered. She said well I put it on the ticket and walked away. I tried to eat it, but it was nasty! We both got an oversized amount of tater tots couldn't eat them all. The tea was the only thing that tasted ok. When we went to the register pay the waitress asked again how was it? We said well it had the wrong cheese and didn't taste good. She said well that will be $26. No I'm sorry, we will make another and make it right this time, no

First visit here and I don't think we'll be back. We love Hwy55's food and custard, and we've always had good experiences until we came to this one. Pros: Cool retro theme, generous portions, cleanliness, and awesome frozen custard. Cons: Both waitresses were inattentive and had bad attitudes and long wait times. My husband had to get up several times for our items and some of our food was missing or incorrect (still tasted good though). Attached is a picture of what a small cup of frozen custard gives you, for the sake of transparency. Really? 🙃

Went here just a couple of weeks ago and me and my husband's burgers were still slightly pink in the middle and our fries were hard. Service was good, our waitress was really friendly and stayed on top of checking on us and that was the only upside. Also someone, i'm supposing the owner, had a baby behind the counter walking around which me and my husband both agreed was entirely unprofessional and odd. We likely won't be returning here.
