Hutchinson County Library

I recently sold my home in Colorado and Bought a house here so I don't know anyone here yet. To my surprise I was not able to open a Library account because I didn't have a reference that lives in Hutchinson County. It's insane that is a requirement. Not the fact that I had my driver's license, proof of address ready to show if the person would have asked me for that instead of penalizing me for not knowing anyone here. When I told her I just moved here and didn't know anyone here her assumed response was, can I use my landlord as a reference or church member? Seriously so we just go around assuming everyone rents and goes to church!? Glad to see where part of my property taxes will be going SMH!

I donate books. They are welcoming and seem to appreciate the donations. Very clean and welcoming when you walk in.

Came to fax papers off. The ladies were super helpful and extremely friendly! Always one of my favorite places to go!

Love the atmosphere, reading books and finishing my favorite book. Doesn't take long to get a library card.

The service was great. They went out of there way to help. I'd go visit them again.
