Customer Reviews
Cute library with a lot of stuff for kids/teens to do. There is amply seating for studying or get togethers at the library. My son had so much fun with all their toys. I loved that they had strollers for kids to push around while you look for books!
Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing ambience. Plenty of shaded parking and pavilion. Drive up window is located back of the building. Plenty of reading/study nooks to help inspire work, relax with a book or just get away. And the library host many weekly events. Many staff in place to help out, Sarah, especially answered our inquires and guided us to references for future use. Out of state ID along with proof of residence was acceptable, easy and quick to get a library card. Online library is a plus helps to reserve and/or renew books, etc.
The hurst public library is one of my favorite places to study. Plenty of quiet study spaces as well as study rooms. The library itself is beautiful.
This is -- without question -- the best library in all of Texas. Period. The WiFi signal is strong, and with many outlets to support it, with books and media as far as the eye can see. There are personal study rooms available for reservation, conference rooms, and a large computer lab. There is even a working grandfather clock in the reading alcove. The parking lot is large and with many trees for shade. It's actually that last point that pushes the library up to first and dethrones the downtown library in Austin, as the ATX library charges $12 to park there. So much love for the Hurst Public Library!
I have lived in Hurst for a few years and just got my library card. I wish I had gotten it sooner. My children absolutely love the place. Each child got their own card. I am much more familiar with the children's section and the online options. They have many free activities for kids all the way to seniors. You don't have to be a library card holder to participate in these activities. They have calendar of events which specifies them all. It's a great quiet place with a lot of changing exhibits. At the front of the library upon entering there was a bug collection and in the kid's area an aquarium with tree frogs. Kids have access to many learning programs like ABC Mouse for FREE! My son is absolutely in love with the library.
