Hunter's Run

We loved this place! I used to go to conferences in Asheboro with my job and found this place. My husband loves to hunt and we would stay with Don and Brenda. We were looking for a place to stay with our daughter and furbabies and fiynf the Hunter`s Run Lodge. Brenda and Don were very kind and we fell in love with the cabin and surroundings. The cabin was the perfect size for the family. I loved the jacuzzi tub and the front porch. My daughter enjoyed seeing all the animals on the farm. My fiance fished in the ponds. We had a nice warm fire going in the fireplace in the evening. There was something for everyone. Not fancy but clean and comfortable. We will be back in the fall.

Hunters Run was perfect for our trip to Asheboro. We were in town for my mother in laws funeral so we didn't want to be kept awake by slamming doors and maid service because we weren't going to get a lot of sleep anyway. We rented one of the two cabins on a pond, and it was peaceful and we enjoyed the setting. We will definitely stay again if we need to be in Asheboro. With that said, I have to be fair to fellow travelers. Though it was perfect for us, others may not be as pleased. The cabin, itself, stands the test of time. It was a very cool place with a wood burning fireplace and solid wood structure. However, as you pull into the entrance going towards the cabins, it appears to have been a working farm that's kind of fallen into despair. Once in the cabin, there were several blown ligh

My boyfriend and I attended a BBQ festival in nearby Lexington, NC and realized that we'd need to search in Asheboro for accomodations that night. I am so glad that I called and spoke with Brenda at Hunter's Run Lodge. We had a cabin all to ourselves that Saturday night. Brenda was very kind as she allowed us to tour the cabin first . Once we paid ( cash only accepted), she later brought us extra towels, and hair dryer, and canned drinks. ||Think weathered boards on a rustic cabin with an upstairs that contains a king bed and a single, a huge tub ready for romance, downstairs bath with shower, a full kitchen and a living room with wood fireplace ( bring your own wood). We rented one of two cabins available at this establishment; the setting was lovely- overlooking a bond and next to an enclosure with alpacas grazing. We were a family of three with an adult friend joining us. We brought food and planned to cook- it was a bit of a challenge because the pots and pans provided were in pretty rough shape and we had to use some plastic forks for everyone to have enough eating utensils. The location was convenient enough to Asheboro to allow for a grocery store excursion, fortunately. And when we had a flat tire, the proprietor graciously brought an air tank to give us enough air to get to Asheboro for tire repairs. We did not see the lodge so cannot comment on the B&B itself. For a weekend, this was fine. Not sure I would stay for a week.
