Hungry Hippie

Love Hungry Hippie! It's been a long time.. I mean since the Mall and Dome days! Far too long. I forgot how much I enjoy their slaw and garlic sauce! Mmm!! Inhaled that large Tree Hugger bowl like it was my first meal in several days. Try their That's My Jam smoothie and thank me later. 😉

It was a tough decision between 4 or 5 stars but I decided with giving them 5. I got the free bird burrito, chips and queso, plus bubble tea. I knew the burrito was going to be different but it lacked flavor which was surprising since it had a lot in it. The chips and queso were good but not special seemed like it came out of a bulk container. I did really enjoy the pineapple strawberry bubble tea. I wish the burrito/chips were better and that is why I was going to give them 4 but the menu did have other items like bowls, tacos, and nachos that caught my attention and make me want to go back since the food was enjoyable just think I didn’t pick out the right burritos for what I was looking for, plus the food is reasonably priced.

Ok folks all I can say about this place is it's FAR OUT MAN! Gonna add a plug here for my nieces tattoo shop, the Lucky rabbit tattoo in Alpena because of it wasn't for going there to get my first tat (I'm 60) I would have never got to check this cool place out. What a great experience they both were. They're both true artists. My wife had the Boss Hog bowl and I the Tony Burrone burrito. Too many ingredients to list but I will say this the way they rocked it out was nothing less than groovy!! Just check out the photos. First time and not my last time eating there. I'm from the down state and was looking for a local place to eat and came across the hungry hippie. I ordered the backyard bbq bowl, and it was amazing. The service was top notch from when I walked in till I left. The atmosphere was awesome. I love to hippie vibe it had going for it. When back up this way, I will definitely go again.

The service was great and the large box is large, I got the back yard BBQ and it was really good and a good bang for your buck. Bubble tea wasn’t sweet enough for me, but popping bubbles were good.
