Hunan Garden

This is the second time we have gone to this place to eat. The first time it was fine and we thought we found a decent place for Chinese food. This second time however we were not pleased at all. We ordered take our both times. This second time the take out containers were barely half full. We ordered 3 different chicken dishes, an appetizer, and fried rice. All 3 chicken dishes tasted the same as each other and bad. The appetizer tasted old, frozen, and then fried. The fried rice had little flavor and none of the food tasted Chinese. We were so disappoint that we decided not to go here ever again. Maybe they changed chefs or bought inferior seasons and foods. But hopefully they will find a way to make authentic Chinese food. If not come on over... We make it ourselves at home. 😁😊

Overall, not a great experience. The glasses the water was served in were dirty and clearly not washed well. The peppered steak was nothing spectacular. The fried rice, however, was not good—it didn’t taste fresh and seemed like it may have been sitting for a while. The sweet and sour chicken also had a distinct taste that seemed off and wasn’t very enjoyable. Staff were very nice and food came out quickly. Unfortunately, the overall quality of the food and cleanliness left a lot to be desired and felt like a waste afternoon.

This place has great Chinese food, I had the fall special pork belly and egg dish and it was very flavorful. The pork was cooked very well and the presence of ginger in the broth made it very good. Server was very nice but didn’t seem as knowledgeable on the menu. Inside atmosphere was pretty good. Seemed like a more authentic place than JJ’s

Appetizer medley was delicious, as was the sweet and sour chicken. Sizzling Seafood was very good, but the scallops were gritty. Service was very good and extremely friendly. Atmosphere was a little dated and worn, but that did not detract from the food.

Did not have a great experience here for lunch- was served water in plastic cups that were dirty, the sweet and sour chicken was subpar, and we watched our waitress carry in food in clear garbage bags to the kitchen? Service was quick and friendly, but the food was so bad it felt like a waste of money.
