Hugo's

I have never written a one star review, but damn today’s order fell short. I have always willingly paid however much more for Hugo’s burgers because they are a delicious staple of Fayetteville and I know times are tough but…come on! Never once have I gotten such a small patty on their burgers and an insulting amount of fries on my order. For reference, the burger is $14 and the fries are $7.25. So $23.75 total. If this is the norm now, I am afraid they have fallen off HARD! Sad day 😞

A favorite every time I visit Fayetteville! Atmosphere is 10/10, feels like a big city speakeasy vibe but quaint and serves excellent bistro food. Always get the beer cheese soup if they have it, always. Hot pastrami sandwich is a must and definitely the basket of french fries. I grew up ordering the chocolate mouse for dessert which is very decadent and the grasshopper crepes if you like mint chip ice cream. Enjoy!

Great food and wonderful service. You just check in and get your name on the list. Then they ask for your phone number to text you when you're table is ready. Giving them your number is completely optional however. You can then wait inside or outside, if it's busy, and they'll text you when your table is ready. They even text you when the table is almost ready. What's not to like about it. But, once they text you that the table is ready, you have to go inside and take the table within 5 minutes or they'll give the table to someone else. I had the Cheeseburger and chips and my wife had Quiche Lorraine. Both were excellent. They'll ask you how well done you want your burger. The service was fantastic. Celebrated a birthday dinner recently. And enjoyed it thoroughly. Will be back again. Tuna melt was great and pastrami sandwich was even better.

This place was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious, great size portions, and very reasonably priced. But the service really takes the cake. We had a large party with kids and split checks. Our server (Gwen) took excellent care of us, got everything spot on even though it was super busy. Everyone in the place seemed genuinely glad to have us there and was really nice. You won't regret the parking search to hit this basement eatery! Really cool decor and vibe!
