Howarth House Bed and Breakfast

This is a wonderful B&B. The house is gorgeously decorated and has a large fireplace in the living room. The bed was very comfortable. When I told the proprietor I was looking forward to the jetted tub she left me some epsom salts next to the tub and offered me a mud mask. When I booked the room she asked if I had any allergies, so they could prepare a breakfast I could eat. Highly recommend Howarth House.

Staying at the Howarth House, originally built in the early 1800's according to the owners, is a great experience. The house is nicely restored and decorated with original period furniture. Hosts Sarah and Ryan were very welcoming and offered snacks and beverages upon arrival. We got to select our own custom breakfasts which were delicious. The Howarth suite we stayed in has a huge bathroom with views, great shower and jetted Jacuzzi tub. The home is located in between Boston and western MA, and en route west after Lexington and Concord. It was a very good place for us to enjoy our driving trip, albeit only for one night. The house and grounds would be very relaxing for longer stays in any season, but especially in summer. The hosts took the time to talk to us about the area and life there

We felt welcomed by the owners at this 1810-built (and modernized) mansion on a hill overlooking Fitchburg. The period furnishings and decor were amazing. The owners served a tasty breakfast and we had a good conversation with them about the area. We chose Fitchburg because of its proximity to an area where my 17th century ancestors settled. It's also a convenient stopping point after exploring Boston, Lexington-Concord and enroute to western MA or up into VT or south into CT. The bathroom of our room included the best shower ever and a large jetted tub. Unusual for a B and B!

What a lovely find! We needed to spend a single night in almost-here-be-dragons Massachusetts, and decided to stay here. Sarah and Ryan are delightful and hospitable, breakfast was lovely, and the room was very comfy. Plus, Winnie was the sweetest, silliest doggo ever! Highly recommended!

This was such a wonderful stay, and all thanks to Sarah and Ryan for making the experience that much better. The property and rooms were well kept. Breakfast options were great as well (picture included). Would love to stay again sometime.
