H.O.W. II

H.O.W. II (House of Wang II) needs to be on the list of the BEST restaurant in North Carolina (if not the USA or Globally). The food is simply amazing. I had the pleasure to run into the owners/couple Ernie and Marenda while I was working in town, what an outstanding, impressive and lovely citizens of Kinston. There is an absolute need to visit this place if you are in town because you will NOT be dispointed here. Thanks so much for making such a great representation for the town of Kinston:) God bless America!

Nice place. I had the spicy beef plate and it was nice. My colleagues had other meat dishes, and not all were cooked as asked. One in particular asked for rare, and his steak was definitely well done, big difference. The service is very attentive and pleasant, if a little naive. Maybe a new person. I would go back for sure.

My First time in and will be my last, I had made a reservation to try this place on Saturday Oct. 18th. at 5 pm. based on a coworkers recommendation stating he knows the owner. I should have known it was going to be bad when on a Saturday evening there are only 2 other tables sat. Unfortunately the experience did not live up to his hype. I have worked in and have eaten at many steak houses in this country and even though this is not considered to be a steak house, when you offer a fillet mignon I would expect a fillet mignon. What I was given and for the cost was not a fillet mignon. The loaded bake potato I was given seemed to be from the day before and by the time I received the dish at my table all the cheese and butter had already been absorbed by the potato like it had been under a he

The atmosphere is extremely formal, very upscale considering the area its located. The Ribeye steak is outstanding, seasoned so well and so tender that it almost melts in your mouth. The filet Mignon steak is even more tender than that and marbled just so, it is even beautiful to look at. The servers are all phenomenonal, they all serve with a smile and vigor. Most of them are women but there is one or two men there if that's important to you. This restaurant isn't just for Chinese food, their American and fusion dishes are to die for. The dessert is dressed in such a way that it seems as though a five star restaurant prepared it. If you are stopping through Kinston definitely stop here, it's worth your time and money.

The service here is incredible, you almost forget that it's in Kinston! The staff is always so pleasant, especially the bartender KP. Not to mention the food is spectacular, the plating is always divine, seems like they have a legitimate chef back there coming up with the daily special. Not to mention desserts that are outta this world. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend. Their steaks are phenomenal and spiced so amazingly. This is as close to fine dining as you can get in Kinston.
