Catch 22 Seafood Restaurant

A FIVE STAR staff but TWO STARS on the food. While the shrimp and oysters were good quality and cooked perfectly, the breading/seasoning was salty to an extreme. The fries were excellent. Perfect. Watery potato salad, made with pickles and juice (I think). Not the typical mayo mustard base. Same with the coleslaw, with too much pickle in the slaw. We didn't try the banana pudding desert.

This is one of those quintesential eateries to prove your mature palate or not!! Top notch flavored grilled chicken quarter hands down, nicely cut slaw, balanced, seasoned and excellently cooked french fries, soft spongy corn muffin and plenty more menu items to indulge on our next drive to Kinston, NC!! What an experience thats hard to match anywhere. FYI: A tall container of their house sauce to go is my best advice...you will regret it highly if not!!

This was a very pleasant surprise. Food was fresh, tasty and better than anything around us. We stopped on our way back home and will definitely be back. The sauces for the seafood were delicious as well, but the seasoning on fries set it all off perfectly. Keep doing what you are doing because this was a great family experience. Went went there today after finding them online. It's whats some call a hidden gem. The seafood was fresh and great to eat. The shrimp and oysters were great. The owners were outstanding. Friendly and professional in every way. I wish they were in my town. Because it was the best seafood and freshest that I've had in awhile. If I go that way again yes I would stop in. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

I ordered over the phone for pick up. When I got to the restaurant I was greeted with smiles. The warmth of welcoming me generated off the owners of the place. The food was good. Homemade coleslaw, cornbread muffin, and seasoned fries helped make the meal. The cost is very affordable and with the size of the plates you get great value for what you pay. The plate had weight to it, it was not light. I took a few menus to place at work and I hope this place stays in business a long time. I highly recommended it for the hospitality, pricing value, and quantity of food you get.
