Customer Reviews
The locals seem to like this spot. However, the food is not good enough to put up with the poor customer service. I would always eat the same dish. The last time with a big order for my family. I was given something completely different than what I received before. When I called to inform the lady upfront that takes the orders, I received nothing but defensive chatter. All she had to say was, "I'm sorry, that dish is...." They need a competitor, then maybe the lady upfront might treat patrons nicer. Nevertheless, they received the last $ they will ever get from me. One more thing - even though they close up your food pretty tightly, check it before you leave. See photos - it was as nasty as it looks.
Having lived in the area for over 25 years, and visited Poolesville on many occasions, I had no idea that this place existed. We came to see Steve and Nicole perform in the bar, but left with a great show, great service and great food. Our waitress was Lisa, and she was fantastic. Engaging, friendly, professional, and just truly enjoyable to have wait on us. For dinner, we had the cucumber roll, steamed pork dumplings, the crispy, shredded beef, Szechuan style, and fried chocolate ice cream. I have to say that this steamed pork dumplings were some of the best I’ve ever had, and I ended up ordering a second serving. Our friends who joined us also had the hot and sour soup and thought it was very good. Steve and Nicole, members of Stringtown band, played and they were fantastic. A great
Mom and I stopped here for lunch today after passing it by every time we went to Poolesville. NOT passing it by again! Food was really great and service even better. We will be back again and again and again!!!
This place is just fun. It ain't classy, it ain't stuffy, it's just good people and good times. I haven't tried the food but people seem to like it. Beer is cold, outside in the summer with live music on Saturdays is a good time. Off the beaten path, but worth the drive.
I found House of Poolesville while looking for a bar to grab a drink and get some food and watch a few games with a friend. The restaurant has a few nice gardens on the grounds and the restaurant has a bar area and a sit down dining area. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately. I ordered a few drinks and some sushi of the menu and my friend had two Asian dishes. While looking at some of the plants outside, a lady at the restaurant asked if we wanted to take some flowers home, which I thought was very nice. The food, drinks, and service were very good and I will stop in if I find myself in Poolesville again
