House of Bagels

Exceeded expectations. The Americano was top notch. They use quality local beans and know what they are doing. The bagels are also quality, I got the sourdough and it was excellent with the perfect amount of cream cheese. Will definitely be returning!

Got onion with jalapeño cream cheese and garlic bagel with veggie cream cheese. Mostly good but had large cheddar cheese chunks in the the jalapeno cream cheese for some reason. Felt weird , threw them away. we like the cream cheese bit dense, it was liquidy. Also it would be nice if they cut the bagels in half, easier to eat em.

I like the food, and it’s a lovely family run business, but they don’t always have the best quality control. This for example was a to go order and they shouldn’t have sent it like this, it was simply burnt.. Getting more and more frustrated. Even asking for a garlic bragel to be lightly toasted gets the heck burned out of it! They seem to have lost any ability to not burn the outside of bagels :(. For the money I would say it’s no longer worth it since they keep burning the heck out of the food no matter what you ask for. I guess they just don’t understand burnt garlic is bitter and awful.

Hidden gem. Didn't know what to get around here for lunch. And wow was I lucky to come upon this place. Upon walking in it felt very local. It was clean, inviting and the smell was making me want food! The menu is awesome with so many fantastic options. I personally got the lox bagel and cream cheese. It was fresh and tasted awesome. I've uploaded plenty of pictures of this place So you can all checkout the menu and how awesome the bagels look. And they taste as amazing as they look to. I came here two days in a row while I was in the area. I'll definitely be back! Thank you to this awesome bagel spot!

BEST BAGEL PLACE IN SANTA CRUZ. Bagels are fresher and larger than Bagelry. Portions are bigger and cheaper than the Bagelry. You get more stuff on your bagel without having to pay extra, which unfortunately is the case at the Bagelry. I always get a Lox sandwich with capers, onions, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber already included in the price which is $7. At the Bagelry when I order a Lox sandwich, I get a stale bagel twice smaller and I have to pay extra for capers and tomatoes- $13 total, which does not have any lettuce or cucumber in it. House of Bagels is the best bang for your buck and has the tastiest bagels around. (Pic is what I took to-go this morning)
