Horseshoe Beach

This place is beautiful, the water is clear, the middle is deep, great for scuba diving, lots of marine life in the deeper part. Good parking and shaded for most.

This dog friendly beach was really close to our campsite and Spike absolutely loved it. He's a 1 year old pitbull terrier and he wants to learn how to swim with daddy. I should have brought him a float or life vest. But he loved it. We also saw a few people snorkeling for lobsters early in the morning. Great place for a swim and to bring your pet.

This was a great place to snorkel and swim. Some others were fishing while we were there. There is not a sandy beach, but shade trees to set your chairs or towels up under. We snorkeled around the entire horse shoe and saw lots of Barracudas, parrot fish, Sargent majors, 2 large groupers, and a queen conch. Great spot that is protected from the wind.

This is one of the most amazing places I have ever experienced. We snorkeling there. It was so amazing. For the first time in my entire life, I felt like a real mermaid. There were so many fish to swim with and sea life . A moray eel tried to bite my friends leg but her boyfriend swatted it away and it left. We saw a small barracuda and parrot fish's and tons of mangrove snapper. The fish seemed familiar with people so we're not scared by our presence. Because of their confidence in humans you can literally swim with the fishes. As much as I enjoy telling people how wonderful it is, I think crowds would ruin the place. We shared it with just a few people that day.

It was a pretty spot! Take water shoes if you plan on swimming; it's a rocky cove. I went snorkeling there and saw lots of fish and jellyfish, but it's pretty cloudy in the water, so not the best visibility when you get deeper. However, it's good for beginners if you are just trying out snorkeling.
