Hops n Drops

Happy hour, "mini deluxe burger", came with unrefillable side. And look at the happy hour side of mac and cheese. Ten more bucks got me one miniscule scoop of Mac and cheese. Tempura zucchini was a good deal though. Three out of five stars for value.

We went to Hops n Drops today to celebrate my stepmom’s birthday! With our large party of 6, there was not a wait, which was great for a Saturday afternoon! We were greeted right away by our server, and we had a starter plate of fries and beverages in a few minutes! Our drinks did not go empty, and our dishes were removed promptly when the food was finished. Our food was hot and fresh. My Avocado Chicken Salad was delicious, and the Hops n Drops are my favorite across the board! So good! My husband’s Buffalo Mac n Cheese was also super tasty! And, my kids ate their entire kid’s meals, the cheeseburger with an assortment of fruit and the mac n cheese with fries, so that was money well spent! Friday at noon. Looking for an easy, moderately healthy lunch and a great beer at a bar. Pros: lots. the staff, exceptional. Friendly, fast, helpful, professional, happy. The beer. Awesome tap selection, frosty taps, delicious. The atmosphere. Very clean, lots of TVs, no kitchen smell, tons of seating. The cons: the food and the very loud POS (point of sale!) notification on the iPad behind the bar. The food...I had the most basic thing I could find...the chicken strips and a slide salad. I LOVE hops and drops! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is great. Today I went to place an online order and noticed you can't get the Rise and Shine all day anymore. I asked to have some mayo on my grilled cheese like the Rise and Shine so what do they do? They surprised me with one! My friend and I dined here recently and shared some burgers and cocktails to celebrate her birthday. Because of the special occasion, I asked my waitress to bring us a slice of cake (secretly) as a special birthday surprise. It was the most delicious piece of chocolate cake I’ve ever eaten and was pleased with it. Usually restaurants will comp the birthday dessert and they did not. I wasn’t expecting them to, but it always sets a restaurant apart when they do and sadly they did not. Overall good experience and I will be returning for more cake.
