HopMonk Tavern Sonoma

Great spot for local beer and delicious pub-ish food (yes fish & chips, but also Curry Tofu). Large garden area (rain or shine) rather small indoor seating TV above the bar. Most days offering live music.

I spontaneously decided to go to Hopmonk on my way back home to Sac and was pleasantly surprised. There were 2 gentlemen performing live music which really lit up the mood and atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of options for everyone. My boyfriend and I decided to get some drinks, the pretzel, calamari and the artichoke dip from their special menu to start. Then finished strong with the French dip and the chile verde. The food did not disappoint!!! This place is definitely a must if you are in Sonoma. 💕

Very nice patio and outdoor area. The pickle fries were far more batter than pickle. The lunch special burrito was good, the burger was a little dry.

Hop Monk has been in Sonoma for some time now. When they first opened, it was wildly popular. Since I just came back to town, I had a nice meal of a Chicken-Naan Bread Sandwich and a Side Salad. Two shots of whiskey, and a great IPA. Personally, was a happy camper recovering after a long road trip. The food is good but not amazing. Prices are so high now, I have trouble equating the value of cost for what you get. Service was very, very good. Atmosphere is lacking, but that's just me. Still worth going to, for sure.

Thus is a cute place with lots of outdoor seating. The menu is extensive and food is good. There was lovely live music while we were there on a Saturday.
