Warm, welcoming, and fantastic beer! My friends and I stayed here for a night to avoid a long drive back to Northern VA after dinner, and it was the perfect choice. Checking in was a breeze, and our room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped. We loved the lively atmosphere at the downstairs brewery, which was packed with both locals and guests. To top it off, breakfast the next morning featured great coffee, warm scones, and a delicious frittata. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
I like to be thorough so please give me a minute. First, this is a B&B not a resort. Don't expect a spa, exercise room or hot tub. It's an older building so expect those original hardwood floors to creak. But what it does provide was very good. The hostess were very friendly and genuinely helpful. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. And breakfast both days was exceptional. The large covered porches are very inviting on a warm day. The Alehouse was a very pleasant surprise. Located in the basement it has the intimate feel of an old world neighborhood pub. Guests and locals sharing a pint in a warm atmosphere. Its a great location within walking distance to shops featuring the work of local artists, adjacent to the local river walk trail which ends at Pen Druid brewery and
We stayed one night and had a very pleasant experience! We were dining at a nearby location, and the B&B was within walking distance, which was great. It's in the center of Sperryville (which is very small), within walking distance to a nice market, a coffee shop, and some galleries.||The rooms were lovely. Decor was classic/early Americana, with antique furniture. The bed was comfortable and the linens were nice. The ensuite bathroom was adequate; shampoo and such was provided. It's a quiet location and we slept well.||The couple that owns the hotel is friendly and showed interest in our visit. The breakfast in the morning was very tasty--a well-made quiche and a tasty salad, with a bakery item to start. Coffee, tea, and juice were offered.||Overall, a nice place for a quiet weeke
My husband and I stayed here with another couple on Saturday night after a dinner at three blacksmiths. We rented out the garden cottage. We loved the little touches to help us feel welcome, including high quality coffee and fresh milk for making coffee the next morning. The beds were incredibly comfortable. I was happily surprised! We enjoyed the brewery downstairs. A great variety of beers and cocktails. I loved the room adjacent to where the beers are poured. It was cozy and well styled. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic! My husband had some food restrictions and the staff went out of their way to make my husband something that he would be able to eat. I appreciated that extra effort. The chia pudding with pomegranate and toasted coconut flakes as well as the crepe, salad and fre
The place is in an incredible location. Although its a small town, we were able to walk to the art gallery, bars and restaurant around. The room was perfect. Ultra clean and with lots of space. They even have an awesome brewery downstairs so my husband and I sat by the fireplace while doing some beer tasting and before heading to dinner. The great threeBlacksmisths restaurant is just one block from the hotel. And of course we can not fail to mention the breakfast experience. The owners prepare a daily breakfast that include fresh juice, coffee, scones, frittata. Everything was really great and the owners where always there to give you advise and guide you about things to do while in Sperryville. I highly recommend this very special place!!
