First timers here after seeing someone rave about how good this small place is and boy let me tell you they were spot on. This is hands down the best Chinese food I have ever eaten in my lifetime and that says alot. Portions are huge so plan on everything you order it comes on big plate and you take from there and put to smaller plate they provide you. The egg drop soup (one size) huge lol plenty for 2/4 portions. Seating is limited (appox) 8 tables or so plan accordingly!
During our family trip down to Hollywood, we stopped at Hong's BBQ for lunch on the last day of our mini-cation. Located off Stirling Road (accessible from both directions), Hong's BBQ sits amongst the various shops that make up the Stirling Place Plaza. If you're here based off your search for food around the Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Hotel Hollywood, you've got the same idea as us and this review is for you; Hong's is essentially "around the corner" from the casino and a great option if you want to venture off the resort for some great food. Recommended by a source for reliable eats, we decided to give Hong's BBQ a go before our trip back to Tampa. We found that Hong's BBQ has some great authentic Canto-style Chinese cuisine. Not big by any means (you can't necessarily host a large
Solid spot for authentic Cantonese/Chinese food. Tried the salt fish and chicken fried rice and definitely one of the better options in the area. The rice was fluffy and the flavor was authentic. When craving authentic Cantonese, Hong's is definitely a safe bet.
Do NOT waste your money on the fried rice. You get more flavor from well seasoned white rice that’s cooked at home and that’s taking into account the peas and carrots they add. We got the ribs which were average and the sesame chicken which was pretty delicious. Fried rice is my favorite part of the meal, though, so I won’t be going back, especially considering how much more they charge for such bland rice.
One of the best no-frill Chinese restaurant I’ve had in SoFlo. Simple yet delicious dishes in a family-owned style restaurant setting. I love all the picture of the dishes on the wall as well as on the back of the menu. I would say it’s quite authentic especially on the roast duck and crispy pork. I could pin this place as my regular go-to restaurant if it was just closer to where I live. Cause it’s quite a drive coming from Boca. Will for sure return again on weekends.
