Hometown Inn

I was a bit apprehensive about staying at the Hometown Inn in Galion, Ohio but was pleasantly surprised. No it's not the Hilton but it is everything you would want in a reasonable, comfortable and clean place to stay. I have definitely stayed in worse and paid more. An added bonus to the value is the lower taxes in comparison to areas east and west on U.S. 30. My room was clean and we'll equipped for an extended stay. The firm king bed and fluffy pillows provided for very restful nights. Some of the wood on the furnishings showed wear but the upholstery showed no wear or stains. The carpet was in great shape and clean. The bathroom area tile was new and so was the sink and counter. WiFi was as good as any and the TV was large and had a good selection of cable channels. The owner was friend

Positive: Price Negative: Bathtub needed scoured, marijuana burn holes in bed spread and cockroaches and door looked as if it had been broken into before and was difficult to shut properly.

Positive: "" Negative: This place is one level above a roach motel. My friend had to fend of a small swarm of flies... the odor inside reeks of excessive use of air freshener... the bed was very flimsy and I would never stay here ever again... I only stayed 1 of the 4 nights.

Dirty bathroom, no ice machine, People living at this hotel fighting at night and asking for items from us. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone.

I've stayed in worse and paid a lot more. A bonus is the tax rate in the area is low also. My room was clean, well equipped for a comfortable extended stay. The king bed and pillows provided for a very restful night. Some of the wood on the furnishings showed wear but the upholstery showed no wear. Carpet was in great shape and clean. Bathroom area tile floor was new and so was the sink and counter. Owner is friendly and helpful. I saw no bugs of any sort in the room during my extended stay.
