Hometown Grill

We decided to make a trip to try the new restaurant and they are busy but a good thing. You might need to wait but the food is worth it the burgers are yummy and thick and good. I had a foot long hot dog and very big and yummy 👍 and they have fries and onion rings. Waiting is worth the wait for good food... if willing sit at the bar.

New restaurant which replaced a similar one. Located in Palmyra VA behind Dollar General. We went around 3PM to avoid the lunch crowd which we understand was pretty busy. We got two burgers, drinks and a basket of fries The food was hot and delicious. I have provided some photos which includes the menu. This is a good burger joint with other sandwiches and sides. They are offering a Sunday only breakfast for now and will expand if there is a demand. Owned by nice and friendly young couple supported by good staff who are friendly also. They really cleaned up the previous owners place and the place looks nice. Gone is the loud music, you can actually have a conversation. They have applied for an ABC license. Opening Saturday nite! Just not going to give it any less than 5 stars ! Here is what ito work on !! 52 minute wait ! They were working very hard and kitchen crew was funny ! Hamburger hot but greasy! Bottom bun very hard but top bun soft ! I have never seen that ! No seasoning on burger ! Hotdog foot long was gigantic ! Fries were good but basket way too big ! The crowd was blue collar and lake people ! Very disorganized but not a panic feeling! Service was a little spotty but got better when our food got there ! There is room for improvement , but the people who read this review will not be regulars ! This is blue collar food 101! Also no one seems to be in charge ! No one directing people to their tables ! I think they will find their way , but today was deer in the headlights ! Th

Great casual burger joint. All the food was good and decently seasoned, especially compared to Blue 53, and the servers were very attentive. They are still in their second opening week but are doing well so far. Was busy when we came for lunch and it didnt take too long for a full restaurant. I will say the big thing is making sure someone double checks the food. Have gone twice and both times things were forgotten on the burgers. They took it off the bill, and its not a huge deal as they are still ironing out the kinks, but it can be a problem going forward if things are consistently missing/wrong. But still definitely worth going for the food! Looking forward to trying the breakfast this sunday!
