This was first time coming here and it was excellent!!! Service was a little slow BUT you could tell they were shortstaffed for a Friday night so I had absolutely no problem waiting. I got the Chicken Cordon Bleu with a baked potato, broccoli and clam chowder and it was fantastic!!! Will definitely be going back!

Open seating so you can choose where to sit. Extensive menu, different options. The sliced roast beef was pretty tender but not very flavorful on the French dip. The horseradish sauce helped it along. The fries were OK but not my favorite. The dill pickle was awesome. The service was average and the knotty pine walls were nostalgic. There was handicapped parking and an easy entrance.

After 20 years of going to The Homestead, I’m sad to say I won’t be returning. The wait staff was wonderful, as always, but the kitchen missed the mark—again. The cook just couldn’t get the eggs right, no matter how simple the order. The home fries were solid, but the biscuits and gravy were a real disappointment. There was barely three tablespoons of gravy and meat on the whole plate, and it tasted like no love went into it at all. Two bad experiences in a row after decades of being a loyal customer is enough for me. I’m truly disappointed.

I loved it. I've been by this place hundreds of times and finally had the chance to go for dinner. It was amazing. The food was fantastic. I had the seafood special. Which included baked stuffed shrimp, stuffed sole, and a stuffie, all over mashed potatoes. The service was top-notch as well. Our server has been there for 30+ years and took great care of us, especially since it was our first time dining there.

Great fish & chips!! Batter is perfectly seasoned. Very large portions. Building is old and needs a little reviving, but that's part of it's charm. Very attentive waiter.
