Great bakery, will make your cake idea come true. (I will not knock off a rating becauseI think this is just personal preference, but the cake icing isn't very sweet. If you aren't sure you'll like it, come in and taste it) We had her bake a goose cake for my son. We should have had to do the cookies as well. (Heritage Bakery cannot fulfill these). The cake looked amazing. We later did a royal icing cookie class with her and it was much easier and more fun than I thought. I am in love. Definitely look into their classes and events!

Homestead Kitchen – Artisan Cakery is a true gem in Westland. The baker’s designs are incredibly creative and beautifully done, and the desserts taste just as good as they look. Katrina, the owner, is attentive and talented, and the quality shows in every detail. Everything is scratch-made, with outstanding flavors and buttercream. I also love that they offer keto and sugar-free options. Highly recommend!

I tried this bakery back in 2023 and ordered a carrot cake (orange frosted with nuts pictured). That one turned out absolutely amazing. The cake itself had a great flavor and the frosting had a subtle sweet, but strong cream cheese flavor. For a carrot cake it was perfect. Since that cake was memorable for everyone, I decided to order another one. When I picked it up on Thursday I noticed it was decorated different, I was a little concerned and asked if it was carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. The lady said yes and I just accepted it. My concern isn’t with the decorating, it’s more so with the frosting. The consistency was oily and tasteless. Best comparison would be to eat a spoonful of crisco. We did have the cake sit out to room temp, it was harder to cut through the cake layers

I can not say enough good things about this bakery! I wish I could rate them 10 stars. Not only did they take my last minute order because my original baker had an emergency, they exceed my expectations with communication, price and design of the cake. That’s not even mentioning the taste! Oh my gosh it was the most delicious cake!! Thank you so much Homestead you now have a new customer for life. PS I honestly can’t wait to try one of those giant cinnamon rolls you have in the case. I’ll be stopping in tomorrow morning! 😊

This bakery is fantastic and the cake is so good! We found them when they hosted a yelp event, then we scheduled a tasting for a wedding cake. From the flavors to helping us design our cake, the customer service was immaculate, delivery was timely, and prices were reasonable. Our wedding cake came out absolutely gorgeous and I am soo beyond happy we went to Homestead Kitchen
