Holt's Sweet Shop

I went to Holt's for the first time and tried three donuts. Eclair, donut with cream cheese swirl on top ( was not a fan and the frosting was very, very sweet and could not detect any cream cheese flavor) and a surgared jelly. I thought the donuts were fresh, but they're variety is the same type of donut just with different fillings. It would be nice to see a variety of miniature Italian pastries.

Im new in town, and my husband is a donut person . I was looking for the best for his birthday 🥳 searched in GPS, and this place had really good reviews. Went in, and the 2 ladies were really nice, and my husband loved the donuts 🍩 I really liked the caramel and pecan 😋 👌 for 4 cupcakes and 5 donuts was 16$ 💖 I arranged them like a cake 🤗 it was perfect. I managed to fix the location in GPS.

We stopped by close to closing time, about 5:40 pm. Even though they were busy cleaning the cases, they were very friendly and helpful. I don't think I need to say it, but I will. Holt's makes the best doughnuts around. We are originally from the Philadelphia area where good bakeries are everywhere. That is not the case here. We currently live in Brunswick and up until recently we had no good doughnuts. We are now fortunate to have a mobile Holt's in downtown Brunswick, but they sell out quick. Holt's doughnuts are doughy, yet light. The doughnut itself, ignoring the fillings and glazes, are really flavorful. Add a topping or filling or both and you have a great doughnut. They have the best cakes, as well as other sweets. Their Italian Cream Cake is irresistible. And they have awesome cheese straws. They are so fresh. You can get strawberry cake, pound cake, sour cream pound cake, red velvet cake, and several more, either whole or half. And fruit cake bars, cookies, fudge, and complete trays of food to serve larger crowds. They are awesome.
