Himalayan Chulo

Alright, I was a bit skeptical of this place and the reviews. It's not often you find a restaurant with such a high review on Google. Took the Family here on Christmas day for lunch and we were blown away! Food quality, service atmosphere and most importantly the taste was incredible. I dine at thousands of restaurants every year and this is truly a hidden gem! 💎 The unique blend of Himalayan and Nepali spices a herbs were right on point. The food preparation took a touch long, but the temperature and quality of meats, made me believe everything was freshly prepared when I ordered it. They also offered Gluten and dairy free options and customizations. Hands down one of our new favorite restaurants! Try this place and you won't be disappointed.

It's a very clean, comfortable, and modern full service restaurant. The lunch special is very good and a great deal at $11.95 including two main items, Basmati rice, a cup of excellent lentil soup with great flavors beyond lentins, and a freshly made naan bread. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and a Vegetable Coconut Curry that was so fantastic I could make a meal of that alone, and I'm not even a huge veggie fan. The Tikka Masala had the usual delicious creamy sauce over standard Basmati rice. On a second visits, I got the Chicken Vindaloo and it was amazing.

Very laid back place! Plenty of parking, and table space. Food was amazing, and service was excellent and friendly! The mango lassi was full of flavor! If you go to a lot of the buffet style places, with similar cuisine, the lassi is typically watered down. The garlic naan was so fresh and buttery, not dry at all! The chicken momo was good, and the chutney packed a little kick! Da' Wifey had the Malai Kofta. I had a taste, and it was very good. To me it was like a rich tomato soup. I opted for the Curry Goat, with no spiciness. The last time I had spicy curry goat, it literally kicked my butt! But let me tell you, this was so tender and yummy, it didn't need to be spicy! Just watch out for small bones. If you're in the area, and hungry, stop in. I highly recommend it!

I went to Himalaya for lunch and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The servers’ attitude was fine and they were polite, but the service was extremely slow, it took about an hour for our food to come out. The food itself was even worse. Everything tasted unpleasant and not fresh at all. The vegetables tasted like frozen veggies, and the overall quality felt like reheated frozen pre-made meals you could buy at a supermarket. Even though the lunch price is only $11.99, it’s not worth waiting that long for food that tastes this bad. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, and I won’t be back.

Very peaceful well put together setting. Food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend chicken Tikka masala. So many well used flavors in their cooking! Chiya (chai tea) is brewed to order. Portions are intended to split for two.
