We had such a good time exploring the mountains and the town of Luray! Comfy bed, large kitchen with lots of counter space for food prep - bathroom was fully stocked and I really appreciated that since hubby forgot to pack my toiletries bag 😭. Off the beaten path so take food and snacks ( or will be a decent drive to town) - plenty of room in the kitchen and lots of utensils/dishes etc. Plenty of hot water for my family of 3 to take showers and we loved how well stocked the cabin was ... firewood, toiletries, extra blankets, land line etc. Nothing beats a charming cabin in the mountains and wood burning fireplace on a cold rainy day - priced well and it was clean, cozy and quiet! ❤️
Hiker’s Hideaway exceeded my expectations for a mountain getaway!! The kitchen is stocked with more than the essentials making it easy to prepare complex meals. The cabin itself was both cozy and simple. Although it is a studio style cabin, there is plenty of space for a family with children, or two couples, or a group of friends. The kitchen is large with plenty of counter space, and a full size fridge. The bathroom is large with plenty of room for toiletries. Cozy chairs, couch, and a full dining area for all to enjoy! The back deck is set with a grill and area for meals with Mountain View’s! We really enjoyed making a fire in the fire pit to unwind at night, while the baby slept right inside peacefully without the noise of television. Everything about our stay at the cabin was amazing,
We had a wonderful couples weekend here. The light in the mornings and afternoons was delightful and relaxing. The birds were chirping and lots of wildlife in and around the area. We checked out a local restaurant in Luray based on the recommendations provided the the house book. We had no problem leaving a vehicle and hiking into the National Park as the hosts indicated. We checked out the local Wisteria Farm and Vineyard after the hike listening to the farm animals and enjoying a picnic lunch. There was great communication between the hosts, check in and out was a breeze, and overall was a lovely experience and weekend vaca. Highly recommend.
