Customer Reviews
Highway is a restaurant in East Hampton that draws inspiration from a fusion style cuisine. The menu features a diverse selection of options including appetizers, salads, pastas, and several classic dishes along with side items. Be sure to sample the wonton soup and the stir fry. The service was exemplary. The establishment boasts a contemporary style with a bar area equipped with a television. It is convenient that the restaurant remains open throughout the year. Parking is readily available.
We had a disappointing experience with the service and the food. We waited about an hour for our main course, which was frustrating. I understand that restaurants can have an off night, whether in the kitchen or with service, but the long wait set the tone for the evening. Unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for it. The focaccia sticks were bland and tasted like fried, extruded dough. They weren’t very appealing either in flavor or presentation. Our main dishes were average at best and didn’t stand out in any way. Overall, it was not the experience we were hoping for.
Highway is a pretty chill, low key spot in East Hampton if you want to grab a drink or a bite to eat. It’s also easy to get to and find, as it’s right off the Montauk Highway. The staff, especially Fred, were very friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back for another Sapporo and the amazing atmosphere.
Chef Justin Finney and his entire culinary team are unquestionably one of the finest in the Hamptons, continuously executing a beautifully diverse & delicious menu. Peter, Rosa, Freddie, Arturo, Julian and many more dedicated hospitality professionals on the service team consistently deliver exceptional, Michelin caliber service out front that mirrors the passion for great, locally sourced cuisine delivered daily by Finney & team. The best of what’s around.
Cozy and relaxing decor with fresh New American cuisine. We came here for brunch and loved the daily frittata, spinach and herb omelets and the amazing burger. Service and the team were superb and look forward to coming back for dinner or more dishes.
