I love this place, the food is sensational and the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. My only critiques are that the service can be a little slow depending on how busy it is, I get the impression that staff are stretched a little thin to keep costs down. It’s completely understandable, so it doesn’t prevent me from coming here. Also the restaurant has a faint oil smell, as if maybe the room needs to be better ventilated. Neither of this critiques could possibly stop me coming here though, the staff are friendly, the environment relaxed and the food is a taste sensation!
I travel a lot for work, and I try to go to a vegan restaurant in each city I visit. I’d put this in the top vegan restaurants I’ve been to in the USA (along with Vertical Diner in SLC and L’Artisane Bakery in Miami). The reason this place is a memorable standout is largely because of the variety and quality of the items in the menu. Their açai bowls are absolutely the best! And their salads are amazing too. Taco Bell only had a vegan Crunchwrap supreme for like a month in limited markets so Higher Taste selling this is much appreciated. Can’t recommend Higher Taste enough!
All tasted great and yummy on point. We had the 'chicken' strips, spring rolls, animal fries, lentil soup, raw cinnamon roll, and the chocolate chip cookie. Pretty good job for the vegan restaurant. Loved it here, thank you!
This is my Berry Good. I think it’s the worst one compared to the other reviews and the photos on the menu. Other bowls are almost filled to the top and have a generous amount of fruit on the acaí base with beautiful pattern. I came here for an event and was looking forward to having a meal, but this is what I received. After reading more reviews in detail, I noticed some people mentioning racism, and I’m sad to say I agree. If you’re not white, you might think twice before coming here. (Aside from that, the food is good.)
I absolutely adore this place, and I have only tried the layered acai bowls and a couple of other items. The staff is friendly and awesome. They have gone out of their way to answer my questions. All three of the layered acai bowls "have their own personality" and are legit fire. My favorite is the Cacao dream, but both the Tropical Sunrise and Purple Dragon are right up there as well. You can also design your own bowl, which I may try out next. The spiced lentil soup is delicious as well as the chick'n strips! The vibe is chill and very personable. For me, it is kind of like a loving, energetic oasis in the middle of a downtown chaotic environment. I am looking forward to diving further into the menu. I was recommended a few of the burger and chicken sandwiches that sound delicious. There
