Yeah ill never waste my money again ! Nothing is seasoned. Jerk chicken just spicy. Not seasoned one bit. Mac & cheese taste straight out the box. Portion is good for the lunch specials but ill never eat here again. Should have known. Any caribbean place with no yams is a no ! Yall really have to make yall food with love and not rush
I have eaten here easily a hundred times. Spot on jerked chicken, cabbage, rice and peas... and the meat pies are my son's addiction. Yeah - it's two people working hard all day so they aren't bubbly, and the "ambiance" eating-in is a bit rough around the edges (take out is the plan) and the TV is a bit loud... but it's all bearable. Oh - don't sleep on the Escovitch
I visited HH today for lunch special my second time. So I returned today cause curry chicken is on Mondays and I was please with my first visit. So today I’m watching cashier making my plate and she’s picking up chicken and putting back if it was a big piece. I’m wondering why and she do it again like picking over it then I ask how much for extra meat $7 I asked if possible to order some but I didn’t need 4 she said no. I get to car all the pieces are small and mainly bone and gristle and to be honest I was so hungry I just dealt with it. So next and possibly last visit I will ask as to why they pick over chicken when serving. The customer service is not the best no smiles or welcomes as if she’s mad to be working.
Very nice portion size. The plantain were perfect and the rice and peas were soft and nice with plenty of gravy. Curry chicken was delicious. Unfortunately people aren't buying local drinks, so they did not have any currently. I hope they find a way to bring back the sorrel juice or maybe add homemade ginger beer. The best food comes from the smallest places that are reasonably priced and they focus on the food. Very clean dining area.
It was 6 of us, we were down at my daughters school for her performance and was grabbing something to eat with her and her bestie before heading back up the road. Out of everything I tasted: Curry Chicken ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Curry Goat ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brown Stew Chicken ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oxtail ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cabbage ⭐️⭐️ Rice/peas ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤌🏾 Mac n Cheese ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...surprisingly I might add, as most Caribbean places don't have the best mac n cheese and this one didn't look too appealing but it surprised us all.
