Customer Reviews
First, let me say the portions were huge. And they looked so good. But the flavors were certainly not as expected. The staff was super friendly, and the spot was a nice cozy family diner type. For the 2 of us, we got the pig platter or something like that. Ribs, pulled pork, chicken half, etc. I don't do beans. My mom loves them. She didn't eat these. Same for the slaw. The fries were delicious. They're fries. The big turn-off was the bbq sauce. 50 million bbq places down here, each with their own sauce. This was watery, and I'm not sure how to describe it. It wasn't good. I was excited to try the lemon cheesecake and, again, very bland. Double downed on the disappointment. However, I did take it home, reheat it on the grill with different sauces from KY, added just enough to hydrate, and
Fried mushrooms made a perfect appetizer hitting the table hot and with just the right amount of crispy outside and juicy mushroom inside and the Piggy Fries are great. Paired with a decent sauce selection and super friendly service, it makes the steeper pricing worth it. Not at all how I remember the layout before the fire happened but it's a little more spacious now and the lunch buffet looks way better as well.
Great food, great prices, great service! A must if you are in Savannah
Fantastic BBQ, great service, parking is easily accessible. Food choices are excellent. Highly recommend. The only negative I have is being asked if I want to leave a tip for pickup orders. That just bugs me to no end. I would certainly leave a tip if dinning in.
This is a savannah institution. The food is always hot and fresh, and tastes amazing. They change up the menu every day for lunch, have revolving specials all day long, and their desserts are so good that it almost isn't fair, and you generally have a dozen desert options on any given day. The portions are generous and the prices are good, but my favorite part are the wait staff. It's like eating in your momma's kitchen, if your momma is an excellent cook and you're the baby of the family. You'll never see the bottom of your tea glass with those girls around. They are the best waitresses in the business..
