Henze's Bakery

We are visiting from Florida and came across this place to stop in. Super lovely small business vibe. They have everything you can think of donuts, yoyo cookies, peanut butter cookie sandwich, and more! The cookie sandwich was really good. I ordered a glazed donut twist looking really forward to it only to get home and see that she ended up giving me a sugar donut twist in the box instead. :( that’s why I had to remove a star but other than that it was really delicious and they had great service.

It is impossible to give this bakery less than a 5-star rating! I have been a regular patron since the bakery opened. Everything is fresh and never overpriced! Staff is ALWAYS friendly and wait time is nominal. What more could you ask?

I’ve been going to Chuck’s Bakery, now Henze’s, my entire life. They have incredible donuts, coffee cakes, pies and baked goods. It is my “go to” place for donuts in Valparaiso. The new mural is super cool and adds to the nostalgia of this Valparaiso institution. They are closed Monday & Tuesday.

As a little boy I remember getting delicious birthday cakes from the bakery when it was downtown on Lincolnway. My family moved away and I always longed for another cake. 55 years later sime friends told us about this amazing bakery, so my wife and I drove 45 minutes to find it. We got two danish and some coffee and I stood looking at the wall with all of the family pictures and wonderful memories flooded back. Won't lie, I got a little misty. Thank you for continuing the traditions and I will definitely be back !!!

They have the best donuts in town! Staff is always super friendly and service is quick despite the long line everytime I go. Highly recommend!
