Benelli’s Pizzeria

The pizza was really good. The cust was crispy, with the cheese dertiot style is known for. The toppings were generous and flavorful. Between the two of us we ate oyr fill and still had some to take home. Will definitely be adding Benelli's into our mix.

Normally I would roll my eyes at yet another pizza joint in Valpo, but I think we have something special here. With the popularity of detroit style pizza growing, it's nice to see that there is a place that makes it their main focus here in town. Ended up ordering the Detroit OG pizza and the Benelli bites. The Benelli bites are the classic "dough bites" with garlic, butter, parm, and herbs. Served with what I'm assuming is their universal pizza sauce, these bites are at the top of their class. Great flavor, a nice chew, and without sacrificing a subtle crust on each bite. The real star, however, is obviously the Detroit OG pizza. First time trying Benelli's Pizzeria and wow; it is amazing! I ordered the Detroit OG (minus ricotta, added jalapeños) and asked for it well done. The order was ready for pickup in just 25 minutes. The box was still warm when I got home, and as soon as I took that first bite, the rest was history. The pizza was very crunchy with a little heat from the jalapeños and a sweetness from the honey drizzle, finishing with a savory buttery flavor in the crust and cheese. This is hands down the best (true) pizza I’ve had in the area. Sorry Chicago style, but Detroit style from here has officially taken over as my number one. Highly recommend and will be back for more!

First time here. NOT disappointed. Food came out very quickly. Stromboli, Pulled Pork sandwich very good. We ended up with just a regular pepperoni pizza not the Detroit style. Just as good as any other pizza I've had.

I thought this pizza was pretty good. I’m normally a Chicago style guy but I tried the Detroit pan. It was really good , could use some more cheese . The sausage has a lot of flavor but it’s not a fresh sausage kind of tastes like pizza huts sausage. Prices seemed a little high but it’s a nice change for the area. I will try it again.
