Heavitree of Griswold Bed and Breakfast

I can't believe the tragic news of Charlotte's passing. My wife and I (as well as many others) have spent our most special moments at this BnB - not excluding our wedding ceremony. Our hearts go out to the Greer family and all who were priveleged to experience Charlotte's charisma, thoughtfulness, and joy while staying at one of the most magical places in New England. We will miss her dearly.

This place is magical! Quaint, quiet, interesting, fun, beautiful, and in a great location. The home was built in the 1700's but each room still has an en suite bath for privacy. The home has so many common area rooms that everyone in the home could have a private breakfast if they wished. We were called the night before we arrived and asked what we would like for breakfast, how amazing is that?!? The breakfast was delightful, prompt, hot, custom and complete. Pro-tip: ask for bacon!||The grounds are massive. Plenty of different spaces to enjoy. The property is immaculate. I'm not sure how they do it. The home is period devoted with art and antiques. We had our wedding weekend here and it was an absolutely magical experience. Charlotte was so attentive and was a great guide throughout my stay. It was her mission to make sure everything went smoothly and perfect. I couldn’t ask for better help during our unforgettable weekend. The rooms were so quaint and cozy while the breakfast was delicious. Everything was freshly made and made in house . Besides the Inn itself, the location is something out of a fairytale story. The property was well maintained and the views were out of this world. You can tell Heavitree is maintained with love and I am so grateful to have my wedding here. Heavitree B&B has been a favorite getaway spot for us over the years, and we couldn’t have imagined a better place to host our wedding. Charlotte, the host, has always been wonderful, and her flexibility and support throughout the entire wedding planning process made everything so much easier. We booked the B&B for the entire weekend, using the beautiful lawn for our ceremony and the charming barn for the reception. Everything was perfect, and Charlotte’s attention to detail truly made our day special. Her personal touch and flexibility made it clear that she wasn’t just providing a venue; she was sharing in our joy and helping us create lasting memories. We’re so grateful for her hospitality and would highly recommend Heavitree B&B to anyone looking for a picturesque and welcoming venue.

My husband and I were married at the Heavitree in June, what an incredible place. Charlotte is amazing, and was happy to help with anything planning wise, as you hire in your own caterer for the space, and set up anything I could not. She was so amazingly friendly I can’t speak well enough of the help you will find in Charlotte. The bed n breakfast is an antique in itself as it boasts 1700 period friendly furniture and finishes. If you’re looking to have a smaller, more intimate wedding this is THE place. The carriage house was super spacious with a very nice indoor bathroom right off the dining area. With the barn doors open, the space is perfect and flows from dinner to dancing effortlessly. 10/10
