Haverford Township Free Library

Had a great time at the one year anniversary. The library is amazing and supper clean. Was able to talk with the commissioner who is just a doll... she's smart with a great personality. Also meet many other interesting people. Mary is super informative and greeted us right away she also directed us to Gretchen who gave us useful information. We also had the pleasure of meeting two gentleman from the cleaning staff that were warm and welcoming. We had a blast!

Amazing library, I come here as it’s close to my job. They’ve been closed for a year and some months for renovations and I went there recently and it was lovely! They’re not 100% done but it is amazing. The kids section was also beautiful. I didn’t take pictures of up there to protect the kids privacy, but here are some pictures of the adult/general sections and living room section! I am so happy they’re back open, and have all of their selections out of storage. I included the romance section as it’s my favorite. I also love the community this brings as well as they have book clubs and activities year round!

The environment here is hard to take in. The kids would have toys everywhere and I'm like omg 😱. Maybe because I came in on a wrong day with wrong parents. But the environment here is just not fun and welcoming for toddlers. I'll give it another try next time.

This new library is really nice. I like that the kids have their own dedicated floor. I saw the creative studio, but there were not any sessions going on at the time of our visit. We will have to check the schedule and come back another day. They have a lot more computers and the kids area is bigger than the previous location

Plenty of "3rd space" utility in this building - a quiet communal den with fireplace, a board game room (with various video game systems to boot) at the far corner, a good maker space (with 3d printing, laser cutting/engraving, and cricut systems), a large play area for kiddos right by the picture books, and break away rooms ranging from one on one spaces to conference rooms. Book selection is fair to good, better than most, with a decent quantity but excellent curration. Their ability and readiness to pull in books from other libraries, public and private, is the best I've encountered. They never make it feel like you're making work for them to do so, it's real service-with-a-smile over at the Reference / ILL sections, with short wait times for the orders to show up and a breezy acquisiti
