Haven Guest House Bed & Breakfast

I checked in last minute without a reservation, and the owner, Jason, greeted me right from the parking lot, carrying my luggage into the house. He was incredibly friendly, warm, helpful, efficient, and proactive — truly professional and hospitality-oriented (a big contrast to the bare-minimum experience I had at Bentley House with the new owner, John). With Jason, you don’t even have to ask — he anticipates what guests need and takes care of it right away. The location is convenient and easy to find, though light sleepers should note there’s some traffic noise near the windows. I’ll probably choose a different room next time for that reason. What a delightful winter weekend at the Fair Haven Bed and Breakfast. The “ Marigold Room” was very cozy and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Jason( owner) was very attentive and my breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely Victorian B and B.

When visiting Lake, Bomoseen Fairhaven or Castleton Vermont, this is your home away from home. Very clean and comfortable with a terrific host/innkeeper Jason. He goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable without even knowing he is there. The breakfast can’t be beat. with pastries created by his wife who is a pastry chef check this place out. There’s also a convenience store right across the street.

A very beautiful, very clean place. The house itself dates back to the early 20th century and is maintained in this atmosphere, which emphasizes its uniqueness. We stayed there for the weekend with the whole family for a family celebration. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the bathrooms were impeccable. The breakfast was sure to please everyone. The house itself is located in a very pleasant neighborhood. I recommend it… no one will be disappointed.

The best breakfast! I’ve now stayed at The Haven Guesthouse in Fairhaven multiple times, alone and with a friend. Every time Jason greeted us and helped us settle in to their warm historic Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are clean and location convenient. But the best part of my stay has been the most amazing breakfasts! The choices allow for variety and the pastries are far better than I’ve found at a bakery. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting or working in the area. -Janet
