Havana 13 restaurant & Bar

Beautiful and very quint place. The atmosphere is very inviting to conversation in tête-à-tête. Music isn’t too loud. The decor is very pleasing to the eyes. Bathrooms are clean. Food is amazingly delicious. If you ever visit please try the Mangu. The complementary sauce is succulent. Not too greasy not too light either. Species are well diffused throughout the entire dish. The efforts that the chef took to prepare this dish permeates the entire 🥘 meal. 🍽️ Also try the Red snapper with that sauce. Again the chef did his magic again. Well done. Hope the place stays open for a long time on the Eastern Shore of Va.

Are you on your way to Ocean City? Maybe heading south to Virginia Beach. If you’re ready for lunch or dinner, then Havana 13 is an excellent break from your long drive. If you’re a local then you definitely have got to make your way to this awesome restaurant. We were on a weekend trip to Ocean City. After getting past the tunnel traffic, we decided it was time for dinner. Unfortunately, many of the restaurants along Highway 13 close by 8 o’clock. As we searched for a restaurant, we found Havana 13. We arrived at 8:30 keeping in mind that the restaurant closed at nine. As we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the White staff and the bartender. We told them that we would be quick, and their response was take your time. Great restaurant in the shopping mall in Onley, with authentic Cuban and Puerto Rican menu options and a very friendly staff. Plan to take some of your order home, the portions are enormous. Probably the best gumbo I have ever had!

I wanted to love this place. But, we got here for a late lunch and when we arrived there was only one family dining inside. Many groups proceeded to file in through the door that didn’t swing closed, and each time we leaned over to shut the door. After 30 minutes we didn’t even have our appetizer. At that point a large party of about 6 people all had food and drinks and two other parties that arrived after us were getting their checks and to go containers. Thankfully after waiting 45 minutes for one Cubano sandwich the manager graced us with a gracious 10% (1.60) off! We never would have requested a discount but that seemed petty. Honestly, the food was okay but I wouldn’t bother coming here again. I’d also advise you avoid this place if you are on a time crunch or a lunch break.
