Hastings Public Library

I normally love going here but the resent event that occurred was extremely unfortunate. Me and my friends were just talking relatively quietly and some had gotten a bag of candy because they thought that they could eat it in the library because that's were they got it from , but unbeknownst to them you indeed can't eat the candy you bought in the library in the library.Though had they known that you can't they wouldn't have, which I understand why they would have gotten a warning since this was there first time doing this. But the fact they had gotten kicked out and got told that this was their third warning by one of the librarians in this establishment was in my opinion completely unnecessary.The librarian who had done this had short black and greyish hair, was wearing a black top with

Very sweet staff and very helpful! Love this Library!!

Normally I would give it 5 stars and a great review, however that is not the case today. I had to print something from my phone today. I needed help getting it to print because I had only done it once before. The middle-aged balding gentleman that I asked for help from insisted on treating me like I was stupid because it was taking me a few minutes to understand what he was saying. He finally, very arrogantly asked me if I had the file saved to my phone and that's when it started clicking in my brain. That's when I informed him that I had only done it once before. Granted, he walked me through the rest of the process but he did it in a fashion of arrogance and as if I were completely ignorant.

Staff is pleasant and helpful. There are so many activities and programs that it really is one of the most valuable places in the area. For local information, table top gaming, book clubs, and just general community involvement, our library can't be beat
