I had the dark chicken meal yesterday with the wedges and Mac and cheese, boy did it not disappoint! I didn’t even have time to take photos because it was so good. Today I’m having the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with wedges and Mac and cheese and man I am addicted! Highly recommend!
My husband and I stopped by on our on roadtrip through Maryland, perfect location right next to the highway. Great food and prices! Staff were incredibly friendly, corn fritters were top notch! We will be sure to stop by again on our next drive.
We first tried this place a couple of years ago and finally had the chance to stop back when in the area hiking this afternoon. The chicken here is quite tasty but a little pricey for the sizes of the pieces (the legs were just a bit larger than most wings I've had) and most of the sides are not house made. I got the 16 piece with 3 large sides - cole slaw, macaroni salad and green beans. I did ask if the items I ordered were homemade and was told that the cole slaw and potato wedges were but nothing else but since my body was craving a vegetable I decided to go with the green beans and hoped that even if they did come out of a can that perhaps they had been "doctored" up a bit to give them a more southern taste - that was NOT the case. This is probably the best fried chicken in a 20 mile radius from our home. Well flavored, crispy and always available. Decent prices, good home style sides and friendly service. Do try to get there by 6ish or so for dinner (we do take out a lot from here) as the chicken is freshest! If you like cold chicken, theu have some in the cooler as you walk in and it is a GREAT deal! Love this place!!!
Stopped by on Dec 7, 2017 around 3. The serving time was about average. Order chicken and tuna salad sandwiches. Trying to be healthy, haha. They were both delicious! I’m sure their chicken would only surpass! The coleslaw was very good too! We crushed it haha. And the cookies were chunky chocolate chip! My favorite! Don’t judge it until you try it! 😋😅
