Happy Monkey by Jean-Georges

Took my mom for a little date night at Happy-Monkey and it was the best choice. The food is so fresh and organic, the plating is beautiful as always, and I'm loving the new fall additions from the drinks menu to the dining. Our server, Alvaro, was incredibly attentive and truly made our experience so amazing and worthwhile. As someone with a lot of questions about recommendations; he was quick to answer all of them! Will definitely be back again!:)

I had such a great experience at Happy Monkey by Jean-Georges, located right on Greenwich Avenue. The food strikes a balance between elevated flavor techniques (inspired by Jean‑Georges and executed by Chef Ron Gallo) and accessible, vibrant presentations. While the experience is fun and polished, some diners feel prices are steep for portion sizes, and service can be uneven. But if you’re craving creative plates like garlic shrimp, flavorful tacos, inventive guacs, and standout cocktails in a sophisticated yet casual setting—this is a solid pick.

Dylan treated us very well. His recommendations were on point and service was so great. We tried the lettuce cups, mushroom with goat cheese, squash quesadillas, short rib, flounder tacos and a special anniversary treat, squash blossom creme brulee. Absolutely wonderful evening.

I visited at a time when the kitchen was closed, but we were able to enjoy tacos from the happy hour menu along with drinks. The tacos were surprisingly delicious, and the guacamole with chips was outstanding. I truly enjoyed it and will definitely be returning! 🥂
