Hanover Chili Cook Off

Didn't know about this but it seemed very interesting and fun.

Had to help out the cook off since there is currently one 1 star review for it. This is a great concept and fun for the community! Get there earlier though! Its a chili cook off, where members of the community cook to and give food to others. Its common sense that supplies is limited, so get there early to enjoy! A fun atmosphere for all ages. They have live music, great food, and drinks.

2022 Paid $40 up front and got there at 2:30 to find out they had been out of chili since 1:00 and were letting people in for free. No refund for people who paid up front. Couldn't see the pepper eating contest because they did it in front of the stage instead of somewhere where people could gather around. Cold drinks were hard to find and shade was even more scarce. The four of us will never again attend this travesty. How they made it to 26 years is a mystery to me. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME IN 2023!!!

I went last year (2024) and had a great time. Definitely going again!

TONS of fun, good food, good drinks, and some really fire chili!
