Handel's Homemade Ice Cream Powell

If you’re not into super sweet ice cream and love a bit of crunch, try the pistachio at Handel’s ! It’s perfectly balanced, and I’m obsessed. I’ve also tried the dark chocolate, strawberry cheesecake, and coconut almond fudge—all good, but pistachio’s my go-to. I even grab a big tub to take home! The place is clean with a nice seating area. It can get busy, so parking might be tough, but nights are usually quieter. Friendly staff too!

Handel’s is hands-down one of the best ice cream spots around. The service is always fast, even when there’s a line, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The ice cream itself is incredible — creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Every scoop tastes fresh and high quality, and they’ve got so many flavors that it’s hard to pick just one. You can tell they put real effort into making it taste great. If you’re looking for top-notch ice cream with quick service, Handel’s is the place to go. Definitely worth the stop every time.

The salted caramel ice cream was amazing the first time I tried it, but the second time it wasn’t quite as good. Since it’s a bit of a drive for us, we only stop by when we’re in the area. I do wish they had indoor seating or service—it would make the experience much better. The first time we went, it was raining and we ended up getting a little wet standing in line outside. Overall, tasty ice cream, but the setup could definitely be more convenient.

Handel's is one of my absolute favorites. They make everything fresh. It tastes amazing. And they have so many cool flavors. Their chocolate malt shake (vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup) is the best!
