Handels has the best ice cream around, and the option to get a sampler where you can try four flavors is amazing! On top of that, our student organization was planning an event here and we completely dropped the ball. We forgot to follow through with the owner to confirm the date. We realized the evening of the event, and the manager, Michelle, was so helpful and flexible. She ensured we were able to have the event even though they weren't given a heads up. I imagine most managers would be visibly stressed and not super pleased with the short notice. I was so impressed by how phenomenal Michelle was! If you’re in Clemson and craving ice cream, Handel’s is absolutely worth the stop. The ice cream tastes incredibly fresh and creamy, and the flavor selection is huge — there’s something for everyone. The portions are generous and the staff is friendly. Even when there’s a line, it moves quickly and the wait is totally worth it. It’s the perfect place to grab a treat after dinner, take the kids, or just enjoy a sweet break while walking around downtown Clemson. Definitely one of our favorite dessert spots in the area.

Hands down the best ice cream in Clemson. The ice cream is always fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor, and the staff is super friendly every time we come in. If you’re near downtown Clemson or visiting after a game, this place is a must-stop. Easily our go-to spot for Clemson ice cream.

Decided to stop by after one of my boyfriend’s classes, and fell in love with this place! The interior is slick and clean! And the staff is always friendly with smiles! 🥹 One of my favorite flavors is Banana Cream Pie! And as a girl who doesn’t typically crave Vanilla ice cream, I tried my boyfriend’s and it was so creamy and yummy! I’ve also ordered a few times from Door Dash and haven’t had any bad experiences! Highly recommend for those wanting some ice cream! :)

Excellent experience at this location. We went after a football game and the line was out the door but moved fairly quick. We both got milkshakes which were both amazing! The consistency was perfect for drinking through a straw. Prices were reasonable. There was minimal seating inside and some picnic table seating outside.
