I had an absolutely fabulous meal and cocktails. We had cocktails at the cocktail bar and then sat at the Sous Chef bar to see the meals prepared which I always enjoy. We had the Duck with Coq Au Vin sauce and Pork with Spatzel. We shared cheese curds with hot pepper jelly and pork belly. If you are in Saratoga it's a must go but you must make reservations. Even the cocktail bar filled up within 10 min of them opening. There was a line outside before they even opened.

Only when to dine is the question at Hamlet & Ghost in Saratoga Springs. 🍽️ A beautiful restaurant with a relaxed warming vibe serving outstanding food. The tuna crudo was simple and elegant with evenly balance of flavors, and the beet salad made me actually excited about vegetables (a rare feat I sadly admit). The sirloin with mushroom sauce? It was so tender and flavorful, but the mushrooms and sauce stole the show. The inventor of this version of shrimp and grits deserves a standing ovation because, WOW! A delicious pairing of creamy goodness and perfectly seared shrimp. The cocktails were dangerously drinkable – I may have channeled my inner Shakespeare and had "one drink too many" (but regret nothing). I went to Hamlet & Ghost for the first time a last month, and it has easily been one of the best dining experiences I’ve had during my three months in Saratoga Springs. It’s a popular restaurant, so reservations are recommended. If you’re able to get a seat at the bar, that’s a great option as well. We arrived right when they opened on a Friday night and were seated immediately, but within minutes the restaurant was full. (On a return visit, I learned they will take your name and number for a callback if you’re hoping for bar seating.) Tim was our bartender and provided exceptional service. Amazing restaurant!! If you’re visiting Saratoga Springs and want somewhere good to eat, book this place! The drinks and food are all really well done. Coming from nyc, I feel like this would be a competitive restaurant there too. Make sure to reserve in advance because it gets packed.

This was the perfect place to celebrate my wedding anniversary! Made a reservation to sit at the chef’s counter where we watched all the magic happen and we were gifted 2 glasses of champagne! We ordered many things…Oysters were delightful, Beef Tataki was INCREDIBLE, Butternut Squash Salad was perfect, Salmon was very nice, Octopus Ink Pasta with Mussels was rich and yummy, the Burger was phenomenal (best we’ve ever had) and the coffee cream dessert was heavenly! Thank you to Jill for taking such good care of us and making us feel uber special!
