Hall Memorial Wading and Swimming Pool

Fun pool & splash pad combo. The pool doesn't get too deep and having both options is great. The pool itself typically has leaves and pine needles, but it's surrounded by trees so that's to be expected. It's only $3 to get in, and Stoneham residents get access an hour earlier than the general public. During the week the Stoneham Boys & Girls Club also has free lunches here for kids of all ages.

This is my great uncle George John Hall! This memorial pool is named after him. He is the World War II hero that is mounted on the bronze plate on the granite stone out front. One of the best men we had fighting for our country, in his time!!!

I go to this pool every summer and I love it it’s fun and it’s free! But I have to deduct 2 stars off because when I was 5 or 6 I went to this pool with my friend and sister and their grandma, and my friend and her sister didn’t wear life jackets bc they knew how to swim. But I didn’t know how to swim so when my friends grandma asked me if I wanted a life jacket I refused bc I wanted to be cool like my friend and her sister. So I went in the deep section and I got stuck there and I was screaming help for like 5 minutes and the life guards didn’t see me.I was literally drowning. I was jumping so I could breathe and it took me a while to get to get out of the pool and after I wore my life jacket.
