Hall County Library Downtown

I’m very impressed with this library! It’s within walking distance to the Gainesville square which has quaint boutiques, restaurants, coffee shops and more. It is one of the cleanest and most organized libraries I’ve been in. They offer a large variety of free activities for kids and adults including yoga, adult coloring therapy, and arts and crafts. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

We had such a wonderful time at story time today! Both of the people leading it were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and engaging with the kids. Joaquin and all the little ones had so much fun listening, participating, and enjoying the stories. The atmosphere felt so cozy and joyful—exactly what story time should be. Thank you for creating such a positive and memorable experience for families! We’re already looking forward to the next one.

In visiting and hanging out in Gainesville, I find the Hall County downtown branch library a nice place. Modern in design, this two-level hub of books and information presents a museum-like interior with contemporary, fantastical flare, including a spiral staircase. The sense of scaling a mushroom accompanies a historical atmosphere. Particularly given some areas of the library are in dedication contributors, likely patrons of the community. Obviously its keepers are proud and enjoy working here. There's ample seating, to which if it had a cafe or indie or local coffee shop, such a model would rival the interior or design of any Starbucks. (I think it's the design of the window walls and how they open up the floors, on top of design aesthetics.) But one would have to settle for the vendi

What a lovely public space and resource. The Hall County Library system is just amazing. This is a relatively large branch offering a variety of places to study, read, or work. Top notch facility and people.

Absolutely amazing staff and building! The staff is always happy to help and explain things to people. I didn’t manage to get a picture but they have a self scan machine where you can check out your materials and get a receipt with your due dates on it. Truly amazing place! And it’s so beautiful and a great place for people to work.
