Halgatteok Northridge

I finally got a chance to try Halgatteok, and I'm SO glad I did. This was my very first time having Korean street food, and the experience from start to finish was absolutely wonderful. First things first, the service deserves a shoutout of its own. The woman who greeted me was genuinely one of the sweetest people ever. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel welcomed and comfortable. She took her time explaining the menu, walking me through each item, the spice levels, and what she personally recommended. It never felt rushed or overwhelming. Just thoughtful, patient, and kind. That level of care really stood out and made the experience feel extra special. Now, onto the food (because WOW). The food was delicious! My friends and I came here to have some lunch together after class. The service was also super great! The employee at the register was kind and patient as it was our first time here.

Such a great spot! Came with my bestie after class and enjoyed some much needed delicious food. On that note, the food really is great (my credential is I’ve visited 100+ restaurants in ktown over the last 2 years). Really comforting, chill atmosphere, fun music and calm vibes overall. Staff is incredibly kind and helpful as well, service 10/10! Seating is spacious too with ample parking which is always a plus!!

We discovered this place a couple weeks ago and we're obsessed. The food is amazing and their portions are great, you can definitely share a plate with 2-3 people. The prices are super reasonable even after doing add ons and the service is excellent.

Absolutely delicious tteokbokki! Stopped by after dropping my son off at CSUN and was very impressed by the quality of the food. Everything was flavorful and perfectly prepared. Sheily provided outstanding service! She was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back soon!
