Half Moon Point

Absolutely phenomenal! Down at the jersey shore with my in laws this weekend and we went here for the first time in a while and we loved it! For appetizers we got the wings, oysters, and a side salad. I had part of the oysters and the wings and both were great! The wings were crispy even with the sauce on them. For our mains my wife and I both got the tuna and my in laws got the red spanner social. We all loved our melas! The tuna was super flavorful and there was a lot of it. I had a bite of the red snapper and it was great! For dessert I split the chocolate chip cookie skillet and I hope they add this as a full time menu item. Was the perfect amount of crispy edges and gooey in the middle. Overall amazing dinging experience!

First thing: the food was excellent. The cocktails were also great. The only downsides: it is quite loud and we felt sort of rushed. We would definitely return for the food, but will need to be better prepared for the noise! Great oysters. Excellent birria quesadilla special. Scallops got rave reviews. The boozy root beer float for dessert was amazing.

Half Moon Point is an excellent American restaurant in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. The atmosphere is casual. The band starts at 7:30 pm the Saturday night I visited. Our server was great! The busser was very good as well. I had the garlic bread appetizer which was both filling and very good. My entree was the Chicken Parm with vodka sauce. The food was excellent. My beverage Little Willow First Flight IPA was a bit pricey. The resteraunt offers a decent drink and dessert menu so the food options are plenty. I definitely recommend Half Moon Point for anyone looking for a good meal at the jersey shore!

The tavern was very nice and appealing. Great spaces for bar, dining and then more room upstairs. The appetizer was great, along with the drinks. The food that we ordered looked good but tasted a little bland. The Burger needed some salt and pepper. The mac and cheese were missing something along with some crispy texture. The panini was very good, but the truffle fries lacked truffle and were soggy on the bottom. The presentation was gorgeous. it just didn't taste how it looked and was priced. We will definitely come back and try other items to get a better feel on it.

My experience at Half Moon on Saturday, July 6th was nothing short of exceptional. Our group of five opted for outdoor seating on the patio, which offered the perfect ambiance for a summer evening. To start, I ordered the warm figs and cheese from the specials menu, which was absolutely delicious. (Due to my celiac disease, I skipped the crostini, so that will be missing from my photo). For my main course, I chose the Seared dayboat scallops, which were cooked to perfection. I also couldn't resist trying the fried Brussels sprouts to share with the table, and they turned out to be the best Brussels sprouts I’ve had out. To complement my meal, I indulged in a Pina Colada with Shipwrecked vodka, served in a cute tiki glass. The menu was clearly marked (GF) which made it so easy for me to ch
