Best shawarma in Chicago, hands down! Once you try it, there’s no going back. The chicken shawarma is unbelievably tender, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly juicy, not dry at all. Every bite is packed with flavor. They also served us lentil soup on the house, and it was so warm and comforting, exactly what you need on a cold Chicago day. Amazing food and hospitality. Highly recommend!

Had a late work night and stopped by Haukuna Matata, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the mansaf and it was absolutely amazing. The lamb was tender…the flavor was rich and comforting after a long day. Generous portion too. Cool presentation too. I did the drive-through, and the staff were very welcoming and nice. They knew I was trying a new food and were highly encouraging. Highly recommend if you’re in Oak Lawn and craving authentic, flavorful food!

Today was me and my mom’s first time coming. The staff was very welcoming and Hannah patient and helpful as we didn’t know what to get. I got the chicken shawarma meal and my mom got the mixed Philly shawarma. Hannah gave us lentil soup to try and omg it was soo good and flavorful. Definitely will return

Hakuna Matata - it means no worries because the food, the service and the aesthetic of this place makes it a MUST EAT when you’re in the area. Lentil soup given as your food to get ready in the drive-thru. Prices are reasonable and quality of the food again, is fantastic.

Omg! I couldn’t even wait until I finished my meal — I had to jump on here and write this: DEFINITELY the best chicken shawarma I’ve had in Chicago in the past few years! I’m from Jordan, so my expectations for shawarma are always high, and this is the only place that serves a real SHAWARMA. The rest are just chicken sandwiches! The service is amazing, and I absolutely love the gesture of giving away a cup of lentil soup, especially in this freezing weather!
