We were looking for a dinner spot and wife found it on Yelp. So glad she did and loved the food and brought back memories on how my mom cooked the noodles Hakka style vermicelli. Such a great find and definitely coming back for other dishes. Food 5/5. Service 5/5.
I’ve been craving an authentic Taiwanese-style steak for what feels like forever, and after trying a handful of places in the area, none came close to the quality and flavor I remembered—until now. One afternoon, while wandering the plaza in search of lunch, I noticed the door of a long-closed restaurant slightly open with signs of renovation inside. Curiosity took over, and I stepped in—only to find the original owner preparing for a grand reopening. To my surprise and excitement, they turned out to be the original team behind 四季風 (Formosan Steakhouse). After many years away—and several different owners and name changes—the true founders have finally returned, now rebranded as Hakka Brother (客家5哥). I’m thrilled to say I’m the first to leave a review after their comeback. We visited for
Glad to see this location open back up with new ownership. Cannot say what I ordered for take out was top rate. The shacha fired noodles lacked shacha flavor and umami. I tried the salt and pepper oyster mushrooms too. Definitely the packaging did not allow the fried mushrooms to breathe the mushrooms were limp. Flavor was on the weaker side too. Heading out..I am hoping this is just what I ordered. Please vent all fried foods. Will give dining in a shot in January.
